Buying type in fonts

At The Dale Guild Type Foundry we strive to maintain an inventory of fonted type ready to ship. Our shelf stock mainly consists of decorative borders, ornaments, and titling faces. Please visit our current shelf inventory.

Type cast to order

Buying type to order can be a more cost effective way to purchase type if you intend to use it for a particular purpose. There is a substantial difference in the quantity of characters needed for job work, setting poetry, prose, or straight text. With any type that is cast to order, we will work with our customers to create a casting scheme that is fine-tuned to their needs. Type cast to order is sold in 36 pica (6 inch) sort line increments. The cost per line is based on the body size of type, whether the typeface is roman or italic, and the current market rate for our foundry metal alloy. Please feel free to contact us to for a quote on any type you’d like to have cast to order.
