Africa stands as one of the amazing continents in regards to wildlife beauty and habitation. It is in Africa where you are bound to find the much needed diversification of wild animals as a result of the varied climatic conditions that support these animals – ranging from subarctic to tropical climates. The savanna plains, the tropical rain forests, and the Sahara desert provide home to the variety of animals found in Africa. Seasons to visit Serengeti Park

You are free to visit Serengeti safaris any time of the year, but there are specific times when you are set to get super-experience. During the dry season (June to September) is when you are best timed to have a good viewing, while June to July, which are the peak season, offers the wildebeest migration.  You may also note that wildebeest calving takes place between January and February. This generally means that the Serengeti Park offers best views during the dry seasons in the two countries (both Tanzania and Kenya). The wet season (November to May) also facilitates the growing of the beautiful vegetation and can be as well good for you.

The vast area and size of Serengeti Park

The Serengeti Park covers an area of 14,750 square kilometers, an equivalent of 5,700 square miles of savanna forests and grasslands. Established in 1952, Serengeti safaris has three sections including the Seronera valley which is the southern and central part, the western corridor bordering the Grumeti river, and the North area that meets up with Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve area. The amazing sites that are highlighted above gives you an additional adventure apart from that of wild animals.

Serengeti houses a varied variety of wildlife animals. This park has the biggest number of mammals and the famous big five comprising of the Lion, the African Leopard, the African Elephant, Black Rhinoceros, and the African Buffalo.

Serengeti remains one of the best parks in the world thus you cannot afford to miss this adventure. All you need is to make advance timely reservations to secure your accommodation during high seasons. Regardless, keep in mind that the park is usually flocked with visitors at this times of the year. Also, you may be required to consider an appropriate dressing depending on the time you decide to travel to this amazing leisure activity.  Light clothing may be good enough for you on dry periods while good weather protection in the wet months.
