Designed by Willard T. Sniffin for American Type Founders in the 1940s, the Modernistic Decorative Material series was comprised of many different borders and ornaments in several sizes. The range of sizes and styles issued by ATF indicates that the Modernistic series were quite a popular design when first released.

Thanks to The Dale Guild Type Foundry’s colleague, Greg Walters of Piqua Ohio who owns the matrices, the Modernistic Decorative Material is available once again.
