Camping in France is an excellent affordable option and you will probably leave the country with a more authentic and unique experience than people who stay in four star chain hotels in Paris. Camping in France can be much more upscale than what you may expect, the sites are rated the same way hotels are and you have the option to choose the star rating that perfectly fits into your pockets. French supermarkets are full with delicious local ingredients at great prices meaning that you can stock up on everything you need to cook up a delicious meal worthy of any restaurant. At lunch time, Instead of hunting down the restaurant with the beset terrace viewpoint you can pack up a picnic and find some incredible spots for al fresco dining, be it high up on the hills with a postcard perfect panoramic view or on one of France’s beautiful beaches.

Greece is incredibly beautiful with its ocean landscapes, impeccable architecture and delectable food. Tourist from every corner of the world flock to its famed islands to fulfill the desire of enjoying its pristine sun kissed beaches, soak in its rich cultural heritage and explore its incredible cities. With its popularity however it is perceived to be expensive but you will be amazed at how affordable Greece can be. In fact it is much cheaper than most European destinations and even on a budget you can still explore Greece in 2014 without missing out on its highlights. You can start off by avoiding the peak seasons and the very popular islands as during those periods (July and August) accommodation prices may double. Self catering holidays in Greece are also a great way of saving some money and making your holiday more affordable.
Greece is well known for its food but you can avoid the restaurants and opt for cafes and street snacks where you will still get all the authentic flavours and dishes that this Mediterranean country is associated with. Better still, you can buy your own groceries and cook your own meals if you are in self catering accommodation. By doing this you can save some of your money for attractions and activities or extend your holiday in Greece.
There are many other ways you can enjoy all that Greece has to offer on a budget. Why notbook overnight ferries so that you can double up on travelling to your next destination and a nights bed.Staying in hostels can keep costs down as can staying with some of the many locals who offer accommodation in their houses. Another tip is to avoid the most popular islands such as Mykonos and Santorini which although incredibly beautiful are also dramatically more expensive than some of the lesser known islands.
