Most people dislike travelling on the rainy season because they don’t know how to conduct them-selves as they perceive the rains will cause a lot of inconveniences but to a well versed person this is actually the most ideal season to travel. The rainy season in most cases mark the beginning of the off peak season and this means if you can only know how to accommodate the season, your pockets will be quenched by the dollars you will be saving day by day. These are some of the charms of the rainy season, so why not enjoy and at the same time get wet. Here are some eight tips that will help you sail well in the rainy season.
1. Research Well About Your  Destination

Some cities receive more rain than others; this is largely determined by the type of rainfall experienced in an area, aspect and distance from the sea. From our geography we appreciate the fact that windward sides receive more rainfall than the leeward sides of mountains so why not look for a great accommodation on the leeward side and stay there during your rainy season vacations. Leeward sides receive less rain and are actually warmer. Lots of hotel will be more than glad to receive you and offer you off peak packages that you will enjoy.

You really have to evaluate entertainment options in a place, chances are that the rains will not last the whole day but if they last the whole day, it doesn’t mean that you will spend the day sleeping in your room. 3. Pack Appropriately

As you prepare to go for a holiday on a rainy season its common sense that you ought to pack light but and warm clothing. Rain jackets and water resistant clothes are not optional. Light clothes are to ensure you don’t run out of clothes as they can quickly dry compared to heavy clothing.  Remember to carry strong flip flops that have a better foot grip, do away with your expensive shoes at this season.
